Subsequent Master’s studies

  • The aim of the subjects offered within the full-time master’s courses at the FCE is to deepen the general education and humanisation of technical studies by applying social science disciplines to technical and engineering practice.
  • There is a wide choice of compulsory elective subjects available for all fields of study, enabling the student to choose from philosophy, history, psychology, sociology, ethics, etc. according to their personal interests. Students from the study specialisations S, E, V, M and K can choose from the subjects CZ51 Environmental Studies and Civil Engineering, CZ52 Ethics in Business, CZ53 The History and Philosophy of Technology, CZ54 Pedagogy for Engineers, CZ55 Psychology and Sociology of Work and CZ56 Psychology of Management. Students from specialisation A are offered the compulsory subject TY02 Law for Architects.
  • A prerequisite for the successful completion of these courses is the ability to apply knowledge gained from the general overview of the social sciences obtained during the student’s Bachelor’s studies to problems arising during technical practice, particularly with regard to the student’s future professional orientation in the various technical fields, company management, state administration or as a private entrepreneur.
